Chokecherries grow in the real dry areas of our country where few fruits are available.

Chokecherries grow in clusters, they are about the size of a cranberry and are mostly pit.  When eating them off the bush the berries tartness dries up the saliva in your mouth, giving them their name Chokecherry.
